Different Games, The same rules

Whether its love, lust or plain mad desire, the rules of this attraction game are the same.

Problem is everyone respects this rule except those who need to obey it the most- The ones honestly in love.

why?

Overestimation of love. They feel 'in love' and automatically think the whole world is constrained to ensure their feelings must be requited, just because its true. They ignore the rules that guide this game, because 'what they feel is beyond the game'. Sadly, They lose out to the ones who play by the rules. Hate the game, not the player.

Ignorance. Some are ignorant of these rules due to non exposure to the vagaries of the relationship sphere or just a sheer dogmatic unwillingness to learn and adapt from past mistakes. They lose, all the same to the ones who play by the rules.

Love is beautiful. Feelings are inevitable. Getting emotional when you should be strategic and calculating is neither beautiful nor inevitable. Tired of seeing good honest dudes goof and loose out to obedient bad boys.

Well, rules are rules.

Fall in love. Once in love, stop being emotional and open your eyes and follow the rules of the game!
